Our Covid Policy

It is our priority to ensure everyone who is part of the Little Crumpets family is kept safe and healthy during this pandemic. We are following all the government guidelines and we are asking our parents to do so too. A full copy of our Covid policies can be provided upon request.

What hours do Little Crumpets operate?
Little Crumpets is open from 7am til school drop off and from school pick up to 7pm. These are our standard hours, however, as promised, we are here to work with you. We are very happy to consider times outside of these hours.
What schools do we cover?

We cover several local primary schools; St Mary’s, The Blue School, Worple Primary School and Old Deer Park School. As we grow more schools will be added to the locations we cover.

What are our fees?

Our rate is based on £9 per hour. The first hour is charged at £9, thereafter the system we use calculates on a per minute basis which means after your first hour you will only be charged for the exact time your Little Crumpet is with us. All invoices are sent online on a monthly basis and can also be paid online at the beginning of each month.

What is our Give and Take Promise?
We understand that the unexpected can happen. Sometimes you may pick your Little Crumpet up 10 minutes early and other days you may pick them up 10 minutes late. At Little Crumpets we believe in give and take. If however, we feel that our “give and take promise” is out of balance, we will of course discuss this with you and additional time may be added.

Are we registered with Ofsted and do all our staff member have appropriate qualifications and checks?
Yes Little Crumpets is proud to be Ofsted registered and all our staff and family over the age of 16 have full police checks and the necessary qualifications. All of us who work at Little Crumpets are also Paediatric First Aid trained and hold Safeguarding certificates too.

My child would like to attend the Football, Gymnastic etc. clubs held at school, can you help?
Yes of course. We have supported many requests over the last few years where our Little Crumpets have enjoyed their time at these clubs knowing they’ll be picked up by us once it ends, taken home to join all the others around the dinner table and enjoy the rest of their evening with us.
What time is dinner served?
We serve dinner at 16.30 and we’re normally finished by 17.00. Fresh fruit is then offered at any time they wish once dinner is finished.
Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Yes we do. Being Ofsted registered means we are able to accept all childcare vouchers.

Do you cater for children with food allergies?
Yes. Because all our dinners are freshly prepared we are able to adapt the recipe accordingly. We have had children with food allergies since Little Crumpets opened and we have always been able to adapt the menu in a way where no one feels left out.
What child care do we offer during the school holidays?
We understand that being a working parent doesn’t stop during the school holidays*. Being part of the Little Crumpet’s family means that we are also there to help ease the holiday stress. We are happy to help drop off and pick up from clubs and other day activities if nearby and also offer care during the holidays too.

*Please note this only applies to our Little Crumpet’s families who are with us also during term time.

Please contact us with any other questions you have have.
